So, I have returned from Italy. I have been there for nearly two weeks. I visited Rome, Napoli, Ischia and Amalfi. It was hot, very hot.
The driving was crazy and the pizzas were — this is hard to get across adequately, so let me make use of the Izzard scale of awesomeness — at least 50 hot dogs’ worth of awesome. The ice cream was also damn good and very cheap, for the most part.
I had a cocktail called a tarantella that I can find no reference to anywhere useful. It had something strawberry and prosecco and possibly vodka, though my memory is hazy on that point. I don’t remember what else. It was nice, anyway, was the point I was working up to.
I have a good number of photographs but I’m a long way from putting them anywhere near my computer. Look for them on a Flickr page near you some time next year.
And after all that it means I’m back at work, for all that means, and I’m already sick of getting the train in the morning. This is real life, is it?
